1. How do I create a new layer with ARTS PDF Aerialist Professional?

Select Plug-ins > ARTS PDF Aerialist Professional > Layers > Manage Layers > New, or to create a new layer from existing PDF pages, select Plug-ins > ARTS PDF Aerialist Professional > Layers > Create Layers From Pages.

2. How do I copy an image for use outside Acrobat^®?

Ensure that you have selected the image you wish to edit with the 'ARTS PDF Aerialist Pro Imaging tool'. This can be found on Acrobat's toolbar or by choosing any of the available ARTS PDF Aerialist Pro 'Images' menu items and then selecting an image.

3. Can I copy and paste links onto multiple pages or multiple files?

Yes, using the 'Paste Multiple' command, you can paste links from the clipboard throughout a document, or you can choose a starting page number and an ending page number. You may also select whether the links will be pasted on even, odd, or all pages. If you use batch processing, you can paste links onto the selected page range for a batch of documents.

4. I am attempting to build bookmarks on my scanned PDF document. Why doesn't this work?

5. When extracting an image with ARTS PDF Aerialist Professional, the resolution of this image is changing to 96 dpi. Why is this happening?

Extracted images are resized to the system resolution (on Windows this is 96 dpi, on Macintosh this is 72 dpi). The extracted image contains all of the image data, but if these images are placed/opened in a page layout or an external image editing application the size will appear larger than it was in the PDF by the ratio of the original resolution divided by the system resolution. Simply resize the image dimensions and the resolution will increase or decrease accordingly.

6. Is it possible to only display certain layers when reaching a particular zoom level?

Yes, to set the layer visibility zoom level open the Manage Layers dialog (Plug-ins > ARTS PDF Aerialist Professional > Layers > Manage Layers), create a new layer or edit an existing one and adjust the layer visibility level using the percentages in the drop down boxes.
